104th Anniversary Celebration

A mass was celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona at Christ the King Parish Church in Paola on the occasion of 104th anniversary since the establishment of St John Ambulance.

The St John Ambulance Training Branch celebrated its 130th year of service delivering first aid courses to the public.

Following the Mass, Rescue Corps volunteers carried out a live casualty lowering demonstration from the church bell tower, showcasing the organisation’s technical rescue capabilities. Once the casualty was safely lowered near the church parvis, members of St John Ambulance conducted a first aid demonstration, highlighting essential life-saving techniques.

The event served to underline the long-standing legacy, public service, and continued relevance of St John Ambulance and Rescue volunteers in promoting safety, preparedness, and community support throughout Malta.

The event was held on 6th October.
