Annual Review 2026

St John Ambulance and Rescue held its Annual Review at its Headquarters and Training School at Fort Madliena, presided over by the Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment, Hon. Dr Byron Camilleri.

This was the first Annual Review following the integration of St John Ambulance and St John Rescue Corps into a single unified organisation. The ceremony included an inspection of officers and volunteers, a tour of facilities, and a display of operational equipment and capabilities. During the event, 29 medals, service bars and promotions were presented, together with 80 training certificates recognising commitment and professional development across the organisation.

Addressing those present, Hon. Dr Byron Camilleri emphasised the value of partnership in strengthening national preparedness and thanked volunteers for their contribution during the recent extreme weather, noting that coordinated efforts ensured there were no fatalities or serious incidents.

St John Ambulance & Rescue remains committed to serving the Maltese community through voluntary service, continuous training, and close collaboration with national authorities.
